Interest in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis aimed at hydrocarbon production is increasing in the actual context of alternate and clean fuel production pursue.
Vinci-Technologies offers standard pilots in order to investigate Fischer-Tropsch catalysts and process with either a Fixed Bed unit or a Slurry Bed unit. These pilot plants are designed to study, on a turn key basis, catalyst evaluation, product development and process variables (pressure, temperature, ghsv, or heat transfert..), according to high quality level state of the art.
Vinci Technologies is providing appropriate tools to investigate GTL reaction and complete 2nd generation biofuel synthesis (combined with a syngas generation unit).

Vinci-Technologies Fischer-Tropsch pilot plants are composed of several gas lines which allow various synthesis gas compositions; the design is based on a catalytic reactor, with the purpose of testing the activity, selectivity and stability of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts.
Pilot plants are designed for long time unattended operation and are equipped with a PLC and PC-supervision system
Fixed bed reactor technology
A special attention is given to the design of the reaction module (reactor/furnace) in order to allow an accurate temperature control while showing a radial and axial flat thermal profile, even with highly exothermic reaction as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Vinci-Technologies has developed an extended knowledge in partnership with his furnace supplier and the help of IFP.
CSTR reactor technology
Design is based on a 2 liters catalyst slurry-bed reactor (CSTR) allowing an accurate medium temperature control by an innovative heating/cooling system.
Vinci-Technologies proposes a innovative design to efficiently avoid catalyst filter plugging which combined to a proven design averting any paraffin crystallization into the line, lead to a safe and reliable Fischer-Tropsch pilot plant.
