AVS 0-Overburden acoustic velocity system

Description

The AVS-0 permits to propagate compressional and shear waves through rock specimens, calculate the acoustic velocity and determine dynamic elastic constants at overburden pressure up to 10,000 psi and ambient temperature. The computer-controlled system includes an acoustic triaxial cell and a fast-acting pulser-receiver that provides excitation to the ultrasonic sensors and display resulting waveforms signals.
