Description
The Enhanced Side-Entry-Sub (SES) System is a robust Pipe Conveyed Logging solution designed to improve well control, safety, and operational flexibility during logging and contingency operations. At its core, the system combines a high-strength Side-Entry-Sub with an integrated Cable Cutter Sub (CCS) and a Flapper Valve (FV) to form a comprehensive well-control assembly. Its large flow-through bore allows high drilling-fluid circulation rates while simultaneously enabling pipe-recovery or fishing operations. The SES cable pack-off has been pressure-tested up to 9,000 psi, ensuring reliable sealing under demanding conditions. In the event of a contingency, the CCS can be activated at any time by applying a predefined cable tension, cutting the cable regardless of its strength or condition. After cutting, the lower cable section remains secured to the SES, while the upper section is safely removed. The flapper valve then provides an additional pressure barrier, sealing the flow path. This design allows pumping, fishing, or stuck-pipe recovery operations to continue safely. The system is compatible with multiple drillpipe and tubing sizes, enhancing deployment flexibility. Overall, the Enhanced SES System delivers improved well control, safer cable management, and higher operational efficiency in complex PCL environments

Benefits
* High operational flexibility and efficiency, enabled by the SES large flow-through bore that supports high drilling-fluid circulation rates while allowing continuous pipe-recovery and fishing operations.
* Enhanced well control and pressure integrity, with a cable pack-off system successfully tested up to 9,000 psi and an integrated flapper valve providing an additional pressure barrier.
* Safe and reliable cable management in contingency situations, as the SES Cable Cutter can be activated at any time using a predefined tension and retains the lower cable section securely after cutting.
* Consistent cable-cutting performance, independent of cable strength or condition, ensuring predictable and dependable activation when required.
* Uninterrupted operations after isolation, since the flapper valve allows continued mud circulation and tool deployment even after the cable has been cut.
