Biomass pyrolysis pilot plant
Description
The Vinci Technologies Biomass Pyrolysis Pilot Plant is a fully automated continuous system designed for the study of thermal pyrolysis of biomass under controlled inert conditions. Biomass pellets, chips or granulates are continuously fed into a 2 m rotary tubular reactor through a variable-speed screw feeder. Three independently controlled heating zones provide precise temperature control up to 750°C, while adjustable reactor rotation and inclination enable control of solids residence time. The downstream section separately recovers and quantifies char, wax, liquid products and non-condensable gases, enabling product yield determination and mass-balance studies.
