TThe IFT700 is a highly accurate instrument for measuring interfacial tension—including that between H₂ and brine—and contact angles under reservoir-like conditions. In Underground Hydrogen Storage (UHS), it assesses rock wettability with hydrogen-saturated brine, providing crucial insights into hydrogen movement and capillary trapping. Using pendant drop and sessile drop techniques, it delivers realistic data that helps optimize UHS design for improved safety and efficiency.
