PDP200-Pulse decay permeameter

Description

Assessing caprock permeability is crucial for secure hydrogen storage, preventing H₂ leakage and ensuring long-term containment. Designed specifically for this purpose, the PDP200 utilizes the pulse-decay method with nitrogen (N₂) as the test gas to deliver high-accuracy permeability readings ranging from 0.01 microdarcies to 0.1 millidarcies. By monitoring pressure differential decay in a temperature-controlled enclosure, the system provides reliable measurements under stable conditions. The unit features twin stainless steel reservoirs for fluid flow management, high-precision pressure transducers for monitoring pressure variations, and zero-volume-change valves to eliminate measurement discrepancies. A computerized data acquisition system ensures seamless collection and interpretation of results, making the PDP200 an essential tool for evaluating hydrogen storage reservoir integrity.
