Description

The GEOTEST is a servo-controlled rock triaxial testing system designed for high-precision triaxial compression, creep, and post-failure behavior analyses. This versatile apparatus determines a wide range of geomechanical properties, including rock deformation characteristics, compressive strength, and static elastic constants under controlled triaxial conditions. Its functionality can be further enhanced with optional fixtures, enabling unconfined compressive strength tests, indirect tensile strength tests, acoustic velocity measurement, rock permeability evaluation and hydraulic fracturing experiments. The hydraulic compression frame, built with four high-stiffness columns, ensures maximum rigidity and alignment accuracy while applying precise axial loads to specimens mounted in a balanced triaxial cell. The system supports both static and cyclic tests. Each unit can be custom-configured to specific requirements, offering a wide range of load and pressure capacities, temperature ratings, specimen sizes, and frame stiffness levels, providing a tailored solution for every user. An integrated hydraulic cell setup mechanism further enhances efficiency: the specimen is mounted and instrumented on the pedestal, the cell body is lowered and locked into position by turning a nut on the cell base until it is completely screwed, and the complete assembly is then aligned under the loading piston.
