H2 AUTOFLOOD - Unsteady state H2-brine relative permeameter
Description
The H2 AUTOFLOOD system utilizes
the unsteady-state method to precisely measure both absolute and relative
permeabilities for hydrogen and brine systems under reservoir-level pressure
and temperature conditions. This approach is crucial for assessing hydrogen
mobility, capillary trapping, and recovery efficiency in underground storage.
By simulating real-world injection and withdrawal cycles, it provides valuable
insights into fluid-rock interactions, ensuring long-term storage stability and
safety. Optimized for H₂-brine systems, it helps determine optimal injection
rates and pressure limits, preventing excessive hydrogen dissolution in brine.
This makes it an essential tool for researchers and industry professionals
developing large-scale hydrogen storage solutions.
